Last night LFHHS Chorley Branch held their annual Strawberries and Cream meeting at Astley Hall Chorley. They held there meeting in the Great Hall were the Friends of Astley Hall showed them their extensive period costumes in a 'fashion parade'.

Broughton inhabitants 636 Popish Recusants 192 but probably 323. Kirkham, there is no listing for the detatched portion of the parish Goosnargh and Whittingham. Lytham is included in the same transcript that includes Woodplumpton and Chipping. For Woodplumpton it gives inhabitants 646 Pop Rec 46 Dissenters 3. Best Regards Sharman Dear All, It is with sadness that I have to tell you that Derrick Walkden passed away last night Monday 10th July 2017. Derrick was a Trustee of the Society for many years, he was a huge part of the Society, especially the Heraldry branch, as well as being involved in other teams throughout the Society. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time. Details of the funeral will follow when we have further details. |
