The religious census of 1676 now known as the Compton Census was intended to provide information on the number of inhabitants in each parish broken down into categories of Conformists, Popish recusants and Non-conformist recusants.
Broughton inhabitants 636 Popish Recusants 192 but probably 323.
Kirkham, there is no listing for the detatched portion of the parish Goosnargh and Whittingham.
Lytham is included in the same transcript that includes Woodplumpton and Chipping.
For Woodplumpton it gives inhabitants 646 Pop Rec 46 Dissenters 3.
