From Astley Hall, Chorley
Great News!
Astley Hall is to receive £5,000 from the Sustainable Improvement Fund held by Museum Development North West. The money will be used to explore the story of the servants of Astley Hall in the 1850's.
We are also grateful to the Chorley Branch of the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society who have assisted with the research. The photograph shows the external bell system that was situated in the inner courtyard, image courtesy of the Lancashire Records Office.
