Whether you are a beginner or an experienced researcher we can offer what you are looking for
to research your family history and build a family tree. This is the only dedicated Jewish Genealogical Group in the North of England with all the facilities and hands-on equipment to show you how to research your family tree.
We will be starting off the afternoon with a short on-screen presentation on how to use the FindMyPast website to find the hidden gems about your own family. This will be followed by a hands-on session to use our library and resource material and an opportunity to compare your findings with others attending the meeting.
Other on-line websites to be demonstrated (on request) will be Ancestry and JewishGen. We have direct internet connection via at least three laptops.
There will be a nominal charge for non-members of £5 which includes refreshments and free copies of the Society’s award-winning magazine Shemot.
There is no charge for JGSGB members.
