A Lancaster Military Heritage Group lecture by Allan Mallinson, distinguished military historian and commentator on defence matters for The Times, titled “That Lancaster on Lune may stand secure” (The Redeemer by Siegfried Sassoon 1916) in which he will explain why and how Britain went to war in 1914 and why it was not over by Christmas.
Being held on Saturday 28 June at 7.00 pm, in the Storey Institute, Lancaster – close to the Castle – no charge for admittance.
