After a lot of hard work by a dedicated team of volunteers, LFHHS Chorley Family History Research Centre has launched its Resources Catalogue detailing all the Books, Microfiche and Parish Records that are held in the Research Centre Library.
Resource Librarian Judith Hilton said ‘This is the first time we have had fully searchable indexes to all our resources available both on our website and in our Research Centre.’
The catalogue can be accessed on the website at http://www.cfhrc.com/resources-catalogues.html or at the centre both digitally and on hard copy.
Resource Centre Manager Sheila Gibbons praised the work done by Judith and her team saying ‘It is wonderful that we can now easily share our large collection of books, microfiche and Parish Records with our visitors and researchers. It’s great news that the catalogue is also available on our website to all Family Historians whether members of Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society or not’
The Resources can be accessed by visiting the Research Centre at Astley Hall Farmhouse, Hallgate, Astley Village, Chorley, PR7 1XA
