This Wednesday 13th September, we have a special one off meeting. 800 years of one family, followed by a workshop.
We have a branch laptop containing a great deal of information plus a lot of resource material available, which it has not yet been possible to save electronically. Size, time being main problems. This is something we are looking at. We will be adding information about this on our website and on the files section.
We are giving away free Ancestry charts, how to record your tree on a family history programme on computer. Data CDs and Who Do You Think You Are and other Family History magazines, these are full of helpful hints and ideas.
As a member you have access to the CD, fiche, book libraries, which are free for you to borrow. Lancashire 1841-1901 census CDs to view at home, no need for internet access.
Bring your queries and your laptop or other device, there is wifi available.
