LFHHS Preston Branch take the pleasure to announce that their March meeting at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 29th March, 2017, at the Kingsfold Methodist Chapel, Padway, Penwortham, Preston, PR1 9EJ, will be a presentation by Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines on the story of herself and sister Eva’s escape on the Kindertransport from Prague in May 1939, and the impending Holocaust.
This is probably our most celebrated speaker to date. It is a non-ticketed open meeting with a capacity of c.100. A small car park, with a narrow entrance, serves the Chapel but there is public parking very close by at the shops. If you park on the adjoining streets, please respect the neighbours.
If you require a map/directions please e.mail the branch secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org stating your intended direction of travel i.e. Fylde/Preston, Blackburn/East Lancs/Leyland, or Liverpool /Southport.
There will be a display of relevant articles and the meeting will close with tea/biscuits. ”
