On Saturday 16th May, the Regional Heritage Centre at Lancaster University will hold their final whole day event for the season, entitled 'Recording the Past'.
The focus of the event will be the making of oral histories in the North West. Speakers include two names very familiar to long-standing supporters of the Centre – Dr Elizabeth Roberts and Dr Jean Turnbull. The event will also welcome Professor Lucinda McCray, Dr Roberts' collaborator in pioneering oral history research in the 1980s, on a rare visit from her academic base in the USA. Two other speakers will complete the line-up: Anthea Boulton and Veronica Whymant.
